Your Baby

The umbilical cord has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from the baby’s tiny body.

Your Body

Your uterus has doubled in size. The body from the outside does not show significant changes. However, a lot is happening within. Your blood volume is increasing, additional fluid is processed though kidneys and a lot more. These changes are visible though significant symptoms you experience this week.

Pregnancy Week 7 – Symptoms

Since your uterus is growing, you need to take frequent bathroom trips. You may not want to eat due to morning sickness. Many women feel nauseated and experience food aversions. You may not like to have your favourite pasta or feel like throwing up the moment you smell cheese. Pregnancy aversions are common. The only solution is to cater to your new tastes, by all means.

Activities for Week 7

First, you need to incorporate a regular sleeping schedule. This is important as you get easily exhausted during this time. Regular, mild exercise is essential. Make sure you develop a regular sleeping pattern.

Supplements for Week 7

You must include folic acid supplements, iron and calcium supplements during week 7 to ensure good health and health development of the baby.
