With your appetite increasing to match that of your baby’s, you feel the need to eat for two. But make sure you don’t. Resist sweet and salty cravings as far as possible. The baby is growing at a very fast pace. It measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long. It weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds. The baby is feeling squashed and often indulges in jabs and kicks. White fat deposits are growing under the skin. This increases the energy level of baby. If you feel a subtle twitch, the baby may be hiccupping.

Back, leg or pelvic pain is constant. Constipation is yet another symptom for week 29. Some women also suffer from varicose veins.
You are piling pounds now. This affects your diet. You are hungrier than ever. But the food choice should be wise. Stay away from unhealthy fats and include omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Omega-3s are healthy additions to any diet as they lower cholesterol and blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease. They are specifically crucial for your growing baby. DHA is a vital ingredient in brain and retinal tissue. Hence, it is significant for proper brain growth and eye development in fetuses and even young babies. Understand that third trimester is a period when brain growth of baby is at its peak. Hence, the need for this nutrient will increase. Also include a lot of vitamin C as it helps your body develop connective tissues that repair and maintain blood vessels. Add carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash, leafy greens, eggs, mangoes, dairy, lean sources of meat, and fortified whole-grain cereals.
