These are not harmful to the body but need to be taken in moderation. Strictly stay away from pure fruit juice without any additives. A glass of juice in a day can help you provide good amount of vitamin C and fiber. However, make sure you take these in moderation.
c) Sports drinks:
The stage of obesity will never benefit from these drinks. These are made for people high on activities to provide adequate carbohydrates and sugar. Sports people tend to get enhanced blood sugar levels via these drinks in order to derive more energy to exercise and thereafter dip in blood sugar levels that ultimately results in hunger pangs.
Simply avoid these. Chips are loaded with salt, carbohydrates and saturated fats. Remember that a bag of chips have lot more calories than required by average obese individual on diet.
High on carbohydrates and white starches sans nutrients. Avoid these completely. Once you banish all the above mentioned items from your home, it is time to start off with a diet menu specifically designed for fighting obesity and following it religiously.
Ideal Obesity Diet menu:
a) Early morning:
Take a glass of Luke warm water with juice of half a lemon.
Have an early breakfast of wheat, green gram or chick pea sprouts with a cup of skimmed milk.
c) Mid morning:
Have while fruits such as orange, carrot juice or pineapple.
Raw veggies or salad such as cucumber, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, tomato, onion and beet. Also include a glass of butter milk and whole wheat bread or chapattis.
e) Mid afternoon:
Lemon tea or vegetable soup or any fruit juice you may also have coconut water.
Try to have an early dinner of whole wheat bread or chapattis and seasonal fruits.
