Select a Convenient Time
According to health experts; the best time to practice yoga is in the morning. Practicing yoga in the morning keeps energy levels high during the day. However, if it is not possible, don’t skip your practice. Choose the most convenient time slot right from the beginning. The idea is to be consistent with the practice.
Select a Place
Next, you should choose a place that’s comfortable for you. A small, private room or the garden will make for the perfect choice for daily yoga practice. The beauty of yoga is that with time, the practices will develop positive vibrations in the room. It will heal you from within. Most importantly, the place you choose should be very clean, and ventilated.
Yoga postures are best practiced on empty or light stomach. You can practice yoga poses and meditate for 2-3 hours after meal.
Make sure you keep yoga wear simple. You must go for loose, comfortable clothing. Tight body-hugging dresses may not make you feel comfortable while doing wide stretches. Also avoid wearing a lot of jewellery or make up while performing yoga.
This is an absolute must before you start off with yoga exercises. In case, you don’t, you may strain your muscles. So always start by warming up your body and do a few body stretches to ensure flexibility to prepare for intense yoga postures.
Handle with Care
Initially, you need to respect your body and indulge in gentle, easier yoga poses. Practice, patience, and consistency is what works.
You need to be very regular with yoga practice (daily) before expecting results. Ideally, focus on exercising for about 20 minutes daily initially.
